Paint A Bouquet Of Summer Flowers

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
  • The ‘formula’ for backlighting
  • How to simplify a complex subject
  • How to create ‘non-muddy’ darks

About This Lesson

Flowers and flower bouquets are complex subjects. It is easy to get caught up in detail while losing the overall effect.

This subject has the additional challenge of being backlit. This causes much of the subject to be darker than we think it should be.

This lesson shows how to handle complexity through simplification and manage darker values needed in a backlit subject.
